Alexandra Armas, MA is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who works under the direct supervision of Dr. O’Connor. She earned her MA in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Alexandra has experience in working with children, teens, and adults, treating a wide range of issues including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, trauma and self-harm. Alexandra is certified in Gottman and Prepare/Enrich approaches to couples counseling, and she uses Family Systems Theory to guide her approach to treating families. Dr. Christina Dawn is a registered psychological assistant (PSB94024908), working under the direct supervision of Dr. Jennifer O’Connor. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders, mood disorders, eating disorders, and substance use in children, adolescents, and adults. She has expertise in a variety of evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Dr. Christina Dawn completed her undergraduate education at the University of Southern California and obtained her Ph.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego. Dr. Christina Dawn is passionate about mindful living, self-love, and self-compassion. She works to inspire and empower young women to achieve positive body image and radical self-acceptance. Dr. Christina Dawn’s approach to therapy is collaborative and compassionate. Outside of the therapy office, Dr. Christina Dawn loves to surf, practice yoga, try new restaurants, and walk barefoot on the beaches of Southern California with her husband.
